This is my blog of information and stories for and about the Baby Boomer Generation.

Glad to see it in my lifetime!!!
I have been waiting for this day for months ever since Pennsylvania passed a state wide law banning smoking in almost all public places. This is a topic that always creates huge debates, but as far as I am concerned, it is TIME... We non smokers have lived with and had NO rights what so ever for years. We had to live with it, especially in restaurants. Who ever even imagined that smoking goes with food in the first place??? My father and practically ALL of my family smoked with the exception of myself and my mother and we had to live in it for so many years. It shortened my father's life!
Smoking obviously is something that has affected the Baby Boomer generation. Years ago, it was an innocent habit that was only frowned upon by parents if their child started smoking at a young age, but it became such a huge part of our culture and lifetimes. The terrible aspect was that the tobacco companies KNEW all along how bad it was but even worse, that it was addictive. What a way to guarantee your product's growth! I have been so glad that smoking's ugly affects have been published and known by all of us over more recent years. It has taken a very long time for a state wide ban to occur in my state of Pennsylvania...but it is finally here!! This Thursday, September 11, 2008, the PA law will go into effect.
Pa. smoking ban approved

Our government has issued smoking ban in public places. There are certain areas provided for smokers. But we can still see people ignore the law.
It's better though compare to before. In restaurants, they provide separate seats.
I can't stand people smoking in hospitals and in air con room.
